At the heart of the hotel within the original mansion are La Résidence’s 10 atmospheric suites all impeccably furnished with a combination of colonial elegance and modern luxury, featuring large draped four poster beds and ceramic freestanding bath tubs reminiscent of a bygone era. The Signature Suites offer different themes ranging from ancient Egypt to ornithology.

The modern wings complement the old, with 112 cosy rooms, some with river views, beautifully decorated with warm ochre tones against elegant dark woods with art deco patterns mixing perfectly with beautiful Vietnamese silks.  All rooms have terraces and all modern amenities and comforts.

Hue is renowned for its food and the hotel prides itself on its excellent cuisine pushing the boundaries to create delicious, unique and original fusion food best sampled with the seven-course imperial banquet offered in Le Parfum Restaurant.  A cooking class is also available, booked the evening before, and is a great opportunity to cook lunch under the supervision of a top chef after shopping together at the local market. There is also a lovely riverside pool bar offering light snacks and the delightful lobby bar called Le Gouverneur with its spectacular fresco created by a French artist.

The hotel features an outdoor saltwater swimming pool overlooking the river and the Citadel beyond – a perfect location for a sunset cocktail. For the more active there is also a gymnasium and a tennis court.  Best of all, the hotel has a small fleet of bicycles for guests to join the locals and cycle along the banks of the river or around the Imperial City. And what better way to end a satisfying day exploring the city and its many sights by relaxing and unwinding in the hotel’s luxurious Spa before watching the sun set over the river.
