When to go on holiday to Thailand

Thailands weather is governed by a tropical pattern. The months of November to April are generally warm and dry, with temperatures steadily increasing.  The rainy season is traditionally from April until mid-October. During which, Bangkok, the North and the Andaman Coast (Phuket & Krabi) experience short sharp showers, usually in the afternoon. However, Thailand’s Gulf Coast (Koh Samui) experiences its monsoon over the winter months of November to January and has fine and dry weather during the summer months.

Thailand Flight Information

Direct flights to Bangkok are available on a daily basis from London Heathrow with Thai Airways, EVA Air and British Airways. Alternatively indirect flights are available with airlines such as Emirates via Dubai or Etihad via Abu Dhabi. Total journey time to Bangkok is 11 hours 30 minutes when using direct flights and approximately 15 hours when using indirect services.

Thailand Travel Tips

Health Requirements - Typhoid, Polio, Tetanus, Hepatitis A are recommended. Seek advice from your doctor regarding malaria medication.

Visa Requirements - A visa is not required for British passport holders staying up to 30 days. A passport validity of minimum six months is required at time of travel.
