InterContinental Resort & Spa, Moorea

Nestled in 27 acres of lush gardens flanked by a pristine white sand beach and Moorea’s voluptuous mountains, InterContinental Resort & Spa Moorea on the island’s north-west coast is blessed with a serene setting.

SLEEP

This 144 room retreat boasts stylish accommodation and a wealth of facilities. Choose from an array of the stylish and spacious Polynesian style bungalows located in the garden, on the beach, or over the lagoon, each with a large balcony, sitting room, separate bedroom and bathroom. Beautifully decorated using natural timbers, all bungalows are air-conditioned with the addition of ceiling fans in the sitting room and bedroom. Garden Bungalows are surrounded by vegetation and each has its own private pool. The Premium Beach Bungalows benefit from the best beach location, whilst the Premium Overwater Bungalows offer greater privacy.

EAT

The resort has two restaurants – Fare Nui, where you can enjoy gourmet cuisine with magical lagoon views – and the more relaxed Fare Hana which offers all day dining by the poolside.

PAMPER & PLAY

Although larger than our other properties on Moorea, this is the perfect choice for those seeking stylish accommodation and an array of facilities and activities. The Moorea Dolphin Centre, located at the resort, is home to three bottlenose dolphins; two males from Hawaii (‘Lokahi’ and ‘Kuokoa’) and one female (‘Hina’) a retiree from the US Navy in San Diego. She rules the roost! A team of vets and scientists care for these intelligent creatures, and educational programs allow visitors to learn more about these mammals with an opportunity to play and swim with them in small groups. (Advanced bookings are highly recommended). A variety of watersports including waterskiing, snorkelling, scuba diving and glass bottom boat rides are also available. For those wishing to be pampered, the resort’s wonderful Hélène Spa uses only natural and Polynesian products and is regularly ranked as one of the most beautiful spas in the world.
