InterContinental Le Moana Resort Reviews

InterContinental Le Moana Resort, Bora Bora, Tahiti

I just do not think a review will do our trip even the slightest bit of justice. Visiting Tahiti, Moorea, Bora Bora and Rangiroa was a dream come true but it literally surpassed any dream i had about it. Nothing can explain the beauty and serenity of French Polynesia it was everything and more and i truly feel i left a little piece of me behind. I do not think anything will ever come close to the sights we saw, my eyes saw everything in HD and it felt like reality was photo shopped at every turn. Aside from the amazing destination our travel consultant Tom was an exceptionally dedicated and hard working employee of Turquoise for whom nothing was ever any trouble. I wish i had a a Tom to organise my day to day life!!! Any call was received well or returned promptly and emails were always answered with fine attention to detail with my needs being considered and taken into account every step of the way. The presentation of everything was totally impeccable and Tom is an asset to Turquoise and a complete credit to them. His knowledge and advice was nothing short of fantastic. In summary both the destination and Turquoise holidays especiallyTom i cannot recommend enough it was perfection. There were some irritating parts of our trip but based around lounge provision at LAX and upgrade arrangements with Air Tahiti Nui but travel arrangements aside business class with Air NZ and also outbound Air Tahiti in their business cabin on an almost brand new dream liner come highly recommended, lay flat beds surely the only way to travel. Thanks Turquoise, thanks Tom and thank you French Polynesia and LA you were perfection.

InterContinental Le Moana Resort, Bora Bora, Tahiti

We had a fantastic experience booking our Honeymoon to French Polynesia thanks to Lyndsey and the team at The Turquoise Holiday Company. Not only was the booking process stress free (especially as we booked 3 different hotels over 2 separate islands) it also simplified our travel greatly with the use of our voucher book which was sent from Turquoise. From the smallest detail of a tailored Turquoise luggage tag to being greeted at each hotel with Champagne everything was planned to perfection. I am highly recommending Turquoise to all that I speak with and look forward to booking with them again in the future...

InterContinental Le Moana Resort, Bora Bora, Tahiti

Lara was very helpful in helping us create a truly unique and unforgettable experience that was within our budget and didn't compromise the level of luxury we had set our hearts on! We stayed 5 incredible nights on the beautiful island of Mo'orea at the Hilton Mo'orea in the garden huts with private pool, followed by 5 unforgettable nights in the magical island of Bora Bora in an overwater bungalow. The waters in Bora Bora were gobsmacking, too good to be true, crystal clear and just amazing how the blue and turquoise just came together yet were so separate. Pictures and words do not do justice, you just have to see and experience these beautiful islands yourself. The Hilton Mo'orea lived up to its 5 star standard, the staff were very attentive and friendly, the facilities were brilliant with lots of complimentary activities such a kayaking, paddle boating, snorkelling etc, the resort was clean and tidy and was brilliant. The garden rooms, which we stayed in had a private pool which gave us a combination of relaxation and privacy which was just what we needed given that we were on honeymoon! The Intercontinental Le Moana Bora Bora Resort was truly magnificent, it was located on the clearest most pristine waters I've seen in my life and it really does live up to expectations! We stayed in an overwater bungalow and had a view of the sea, mountain and the sunset and sunrise every magical morning and night! We stepped out onto our deck in the mornings and climbed/jumped into the water from our doorstep. We fed fishes though our glass table in our room. All these fine details created the best memories. When it comes to money matters, yes it's true Bora Bora is expensive, Mo'orea is far more reasonable, and outside the hotels are far far more reasonable. A can of coke at the hotel would be 5000xpf whereas it would be 1000xpf at the supermarket which is like 500% less lol. We would advise that you book half board if possible as it would save you a substantial amount in my personal opinion which is what we did and it worked out great as we would have a light lunch during our activities that we had booked, or most of the time our activities included a lunch. You can basically compare restaurant prices to that of a fine dining restaurant for less fine food. So say you went out for fine dining in London which on average costs between £45 and upwards per person, that's basically the general cost of a 1 course meal and an alcoholic beverage per person or a 1 course meal and a soft drink for 2. Which isn't bad considering we thought we would be spending far more than that. Like we were told bloody Mary's is super expensive, but it's really not that bad, on average a main meal is 2500xpf which is $25 which is about £23 or s. We thought we would be spending £100 for two on each meal so we were quite worried but that was not the case so we were quite pleased. Most hotels also have happy hour so make use of that. The hotels don't really advertise the opportunity to dine out of the hotel but this is definitely available, you just have to ask about it yourself at the relevant desk. In all honesty, 5 nights is plenty of time to spend on each island, you can explore and relax enough in this space of time. Make sure you book your activities in advance as they seem to get booked up and you will avoid disappoint. Make sure you do an island tour and lots of snorkelling with sharks and sting rays, jet skiing, quad biking, and everything on your bucket list :-) Once again I would like to thank Turquoise again for an incredibly amazing experience! Lots of love Xxxxxxxxxx
