InterContinental Le Moana Resort, Bora Bora

Enchantingly set between two white sandy beaches at Matira Point on the southern tip of the main island of Bora Bora, the intimate InterContinental Le Moana Resort Bora Bora boasts a dozen beach bungalows and 51 overwater bungalows set gracefully on stilts over the lagoon. A jewel of traditional Polynesian architecture, this boutique romantic resort combines the skill of the best Polynesian artisans with the finest of local materials.

Sleep

All the bungalows enjoy the stylish and spacious lay-out of a junior suite. Each has a large private sun terrace with an outdoor shower, a living room, bedroom, dressing area decorated with vanilla plants and beautiful bathroom with separate shower and bath. The 12 Beach Bungalows are dotted under the palms just steps from the water, whilst the overwater bungalows have a stairway leading directly into the lagoon and a glass bottom coffee table which showcases the clear turquoise waters of the natural aquarium below. Those furthest out in the lagoon - the Horizon Overwater Bungalows - have uninterrupted views across the blue lagoon to the reef and ocean beyond, whilst the Lagoon Overwater Bungalows are located slightly nearer the resort with views to the beach and Bora Bora's dramatic peaks. The five End of Pontoon Overwater Horizon Bungalows are perfect for honeymooners looking for exclusivity, privacy and far reaching lagoon views! For families or couples travelling together, the Poevai Horizon Overwater Suite combines two junior suites linked by a living area, ideal for four adults and two children.

Eat

Daily breakfast is included in your stay, and if you're staying in an overwater bungalow, be sure to treat yourself to a delicious breakfast delivered to your private deck by canoe! Enjoy relaxed lunches and dinners at Noa Noa Terrace restaurant overlooking the lagoon before heading to Vini Vini bar for a cocktail with a view. There's a pool table and Happy Hour to enjoy in the bar too.  Bora Bora’s world famous ‘Bloody Mary’s’ Restaurant – a popular spot with yachtsmen and sailors navigating the Polynesian waters as well as celebrities from around the world – is only a short drive away – and well worth a visit for lunch or dinner. The resort's location on the mainland makes it easy to try the local restaurants - we love St James, MaiKai and La Villa Mahana.

Play & Pamper

Lazy days can be spent relaxing around the freshwater sandy bottom swimming pool – but if you feel like being active, numerous options are available including snorkelling, windsurfing, kayaking, 4WD safaris, shark feeding excursions, sunset cruises and catamaran sailing. Romantic picnics to secluded motus (islets) in the lagoon can also be arranged. Le Moana guests have use of the wonderful Thalasso Spa at sister property InterContinental Bora Bora & Thalasso Spa - just a short boat transfer away. Please note that the boat transfer and any spa treamtents must be paid for locally.
