The Best Time to Visit the Seychelles

Although Seychelles enjoys a pleasant tropical climate year-round, it is at its best between March and November when the Seychelles weather is usually dryer and less humid. April – May and October – November are the best months to discover the crystal-clear waters of the Indian Ocean and the pantone-coloured marine life. Short-lived tropical showers may fall at any time, but you can still expect long hours of sunshine.

Seychelles enjoy a pleasant tropical climate all year round. The weather is hot and humid between October and April whilst during May to September the weather is usually drier and slightly cooler. Short-lived tropical showers may fall at any time.

Seychelles Flight Information

From March 2018, British Airways will operating direct flights, twice a week (Wednesdays and Saturdays), from Heathrow to Mahe. Alterntively, fly with award-winning Emirates Airlines to Mahé via Dubai, or Etihad Airlines to Mahe via Abu Dhabi. There are daily flights to and from Mahe. From Mahé, there is easy access to the other islands either by scheduled domestic flight, private charter flight or boat transfer.

Health Requirements - No vaccinations are required, except in the case of Yellow Fever where a vaccination may be required if you have come from an African or South American country.

Visa Requirements - No visa required for British passport holders. A minimum 6 month validity required on passport.

Time Difference - GMT +4 hours

Travel Time - 13 hours from the UK

Currency - Seychelles Rupee – however, visitors must by law, pay for all their excursions and all other services provided by hotels in major international currency notes such as US Dollars or Euros, or by credit card.
