Designed with luxury, comfort and the highest level of indulgence in mind, the lodge's five suites are located in the main building, flanking the Great Hall, bar, lounge and games room at the heart of this eclectically designed masterpiece. Two spacious Master Suites occupy either end of the lodge, with the three Lodge Suites taking advantage of the equally impressive views from their prime spots. The huge expanse of glass along the front of the building brings the outside in and takes advantage of the endless views of the meandering river and mountains beyond. Unveiled in November 2019, three individual glass pods showcase the night sky in all its glory, the ideal hideaway for budding astronomers, and with all the creature comforts and luxuries you'd expect in a lodge of this calibre.

Dining is a memorable part of The Lindis experience, with daily changing menus inspired by the abundant in-season produce from the kitchen garden and local suppliers. Breakfast, afternoon tea, pre-dinner drinks and a sumptuous dinner are included in your stay. Using the finest and freshest ingredients, the talented chefs create delectable dishes, such as crayfish ravioli, wild foraged porcini mushrooms, line-caught Southland tuna and wild Fiordland venison. Guests can even learn how to make their own pasta with Italian head chef, Cesare Stella, and acquire techniques that can be applied back home in your own kitchen!

Situated halfway between Wanaka and Aoraki (Mount Cook) on Ben Avon Station's 6000 acres, The Lindis promises a refined high country experience. A range of onsite activities are available to guests, including guided horse treks, fly-fishing on the Ahuriri River - one of the world’s best fly-fishing rivers - guided hiking and biking in the nearby ranges, mountain climbing, and gliding in one of the world’s best soaring environments. Come nightfall, the clear, unpolluted skies found in this part of the world are like nowhere else, making this a wonderful place for star-gazing enthusiasts and amateurs. But our favourite activity has to be simply sitting with a glass of local Pinot Noir, soaking up the views and savouring the sound of silence rarely found in our modern, hectic lifestyles.
