Highlights

The Landing Residences

Sleep

Each of the three Residences have their own private grounds and enjoy expansive views of the sea, islands and lush green farmland. Designed by prominent New Zealand architect Pip Cheshire, each house is unique in style and structure and furnished to the highest standards with fully equipped state-of-the-art kitchens and the latest audio-visual entertainment systems as well as fabulous entertainment areas, both indoor and out. Opt for complete self-catering, a selection of provisions for meals throughout the day, or enjoy the services of a private chef who will create wonderful dishes using local ingredients from land and sea, as well as from The Landing's orchard and vineyard.

The Boathouse

(sleeps 4 in two bedrooms - one master and one twin)

Based on the design of a colonial woolshed which once stood where The Boathouse now stands, this airy structure elegantly blends wood and stone to create a contemporary beach house right on the water's edge. Extensive living space inside flows out onto the fabulous covered courtyard and terrace with its outdoor fireplace, pristine lawn and comfortable loungers.

Cooper Residence

(sleeps 10-12 in 5 ensuite bedrooms)

From its hilltop location, the Cooper Residence enjoys striking 360° views across the ocean and countryside. The contemporary barn structure, flanked by two pavilions, combines steel and exposed bolts with rich timber and natural stone. The impressive scale of the house - most notable in the huge kitchen and dining area - is softened by intimate spaces and cosy corners. The house features a wonderful art collection, archaeological relics, woven Maori panels and antique books and photographs.

At the northwestern end of the house, a stone tower houses a wine cellar and tasting room below a unique bedroom suite with a private roof deck - a sunkissed retreat, ideal for sunbathing or intimate dining.

Gabriel Residence

(sleeps 8 in 4 ensuite bedrooms)

Nestled into the hillside above the lapping waters below, the Gabriel Residence is designed in the style of a light and airy New Zealand farm building with high ceilings and views from every room. A blend of unfinished hardwood timber and concrete is complemented by New Zealand antiques and Pacific art. The large, stylish kitchen is the hub of the house, with a den, pool room and lounge area providing plenty of space for relaxation. The large living room opens out onto a covered deck area, bringing the outside in, and the sheltered courtyard is the perfect place to enjoy a glass of New Zealand wine. Four equally-stunning bedrooms boast glorious views of the water and islands below and each has a private and luxurious ensuite.

There are many walking tracks around the property to enjoy the sea air and the extensive views. A tennis court, gym, steam room and kayaks are all available for guest use.
