Pangkor Laut Resort Reviews

Pangkor Laut Resort, Malaysia

What an incredible place. It had all the beauty of the Maldives but in my opinion way more character. It was cool being surrounded by hornbills nicking your chips at lunch, and bats flying off for their dinner each night! Both the trips we did were awesome. Be sure to recommend the fishing trip to anyone who goes, first of all it was great fun and a good way to see more of the islands around there but secondly we caught three barracuda- we took them back to the hotel and Din from the Royal Bay Beach Club arranged them to be cooked for us for lunch and dinner for FREE! We had one sweet and sour style, one malay style in a banana leaf and one in a malay curry. Cracking value for an afternoon out. The chef experience was also fantastic, we were fortunate enough to have just the two of us signed up and it was great fun- we even had a dinner party this week and made Chicken Rendang for our guests. Oh and the spa! Probably the best spa I’ve ever been to, and I do like a good spa!! You go around different pools and learn about, and try, the traditional Japanese, Chinese, Malay etc baths. And then they have loads of different treatments. We had the free massage you arranged- thanks for that! And then a half day couple experience. I think the beach villa was the best accommodation option. We loved it. It was the most centrally located, and beautiful inside. The hill and garden villas were a bit of a trek, as was the spa villas, although they’d be good if you want it really quiet- you’d need to use the shuttle service probably, the sea villas were nice too but a lot smaller than the beach ones. Am running out of positive adjectives so just 10/10 for Pangkor Laut.

Please do not be put off by the long transfer; it's worth the journey to get to paradise. Firstly, the 3-4 hours transfers from KL doesn't feel that long at all. You are in a large private car with fully reclined seats, wifi, and drinks; so you have the option to have a full horizontal sleep if you fancy. When you get to the Pangkor Laut resort, it is pure luxury. The staff are friendly and polite. The spa facilities are excellent and very good value for money. Stunning views, interesting wildlife from time to time, and incredible service. Would recommended to anybody who wants a truly relaxing trip. We had just been trekking in Borneo for 4 days so this was ideal. Could not think of a better place to spend the final week of our honeymoon. Another great suggestion from Lisa.

We had a fantastic week in Pangkor laut. The sea Spa villa meant we had such a private setting and we even caught a glimpse of the sea turtle. Fisherman's Cove particularly gave us incredible and personal service and it was such a special island. The spa was like nothing I've experienced before and we also did the half day cruise together, which was wonderful.

My wife and I had an amazing time. Transfers and flights were great. Pangkor Laut was perfect in every single way. The island itself was heaven, food and drink, the customer service, the spa was the best and just everything was spot on. Thank you very much for an amazing honeymoon. You made everything run perfectly. All the paperwork sent out to us beforehand just made us feel as though we were being looked after. Your email before our flight to wish us a great time, and your email now just tops it off.

Pangkor Laut.... That place is Paradise. We are so glad we had the food package we ate like kings for the week. Fishermans Cove served some of the best food we have ever had, they are deserved of a Michelin star. Feast Village, was amazing, especially the a la Carte menu. We were a tad disappointed with the Chinese, Uncle Lims. It just wasn't up to par of the other restaurants available but we certainly didn't let it affect our stay. We are glad we didn't upgrade, the spa village is so far away from everywhere and we would have relied on the shuttles which were a bit slow on collection. There really didn't seem any benefit to the extra cost of the spa village. Our Sea villa was lovely, well equipped, spotless and just a lovely place to chill out. We even had Sea Otters swim past our villa! The Spa Village was great, on the daily 50 min package we worked out you can skip a day and combine 2 days to have 100 min treatment so we did this for 3 of the sessions which was great as we got super long massages, body wraps etc. The staff were all amazing, they are all so professional, polite and couldn't do enough to help. Each one of them made our stay unforgettable! We have absolutely raved about Pangkor Laut since we've been back and had a number of people ask for the details, so of course we have passed on your details. Thank you so much for all your help with organising everything, our honeymoon was completely stress free which we have you and your colleagues to thank for! We will definitely be using you again to book in the future.
