Indochina in style

Combine the charm of Indochina with the region's best accommodation. Start with 3 days visiting the charms of northern Laos before journeying through Vietnam, including Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hue Hoi An and the Mekong Delta. No Indochina trip would be complete without visiting the iconic temples of Angkor, the perfect ending to your holiday.

  • Days 1 - 4 Luang Prabang

    Days 1-3 Luang Prabang

On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Over the next two days, you will be able to explore Luang Prabang’s temples and museums and take a boat trip out to the Pak Ou caves, filled with Buddhas. Luang Prabang is also home to a wonderful elephant sancutary called Mandalao, a non-riding elephant welfare encounter we'd highly reccommend.

Stay: 3 nights at Satri House, including breakfast

  • Days 5 - 7 Hanoi and halong Bay

Days 4-6 Hanoi and Halong Bay

Fly from Luang Prabang to Hanoi, where you will spend two nights in the busy Vietnamese capital. Visit Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum, the Temple of Literature and explore the Old Quarter. Travel to Halong Bay for an overnight cruise.

  • 10 - 12 Anantara Hoi An

    Days 9-11 Hoi An

Depart Hue by private vehicle and enjoy the scenic drive to Hoi An over the Hai Van Pass taking in the spectacular views of the coastline below. Hoi An is a colourful former trading port dating from the sixteenth century. Pay a visit to one of the many tailors for some made-to-measure clothes, or shop for antiques in the heart of the old town. See old Chinese temples, wooden merchant houses and the Japanese covered bridge, all of which give Hoi An its unique and charming character.

Stay 3 nights at Anantara Hoi An

  • Day 13 Saigon

    Day 12 Saigon

Take an early morning flight to Saigon and spend the afternoon exploring the Opera House, Notre Dame Cathedral, the old Post Office and the vibrant Chinatown markets. Have dinner in one of Saigon’s fashionable spots and enjoy a rooftop cocktail in this lively city.

Since the life of the local people in the Delta is almost entirely river-based, one of the best ways to explore the region and to experience the lifestyle of its inhabitants is by boat.  From Saigon journey south to the Delta town of Cai Be, around a 3 hour drive, where you are warmly welcomed on board the Bassac.  In the afternoon explore one of the local villages and the following morning see the dawn floating market at Cai Rang before returning to Saigon.
