Bali
Of all Indonesia’s gems, it is Bali which is the chief draw for most travellers. An island filled with exotic flowers, ancient temples, towering volcanoes and welcoming smiles, it is a truly magical destination.
Flores and Komodo Islands
An extension to Komodo is well worth the journey for untouched islands, wonderful snorkelling and diving AND of course seeing the magnificent Komodo Dragons. Access is via a direct flight from Bali to Labuhan Bajo on the island of Flores, where on arrival you will be met and transferred either to a coastal resort, from which you can take a day cruise to the islands, or our preferred experience is a two or three night live aboard yacht.
Java
An island of volcanoes, temples, rich culture and unspoilt scenery, a few nights in Java at the start of your Indonesian journey offers a fascinating cultural discovery and with some exquisite places to stay. We think it makes a wonderful twin centre with the beaches of Bali.
Kalimantan, Borneo
Kalimantan is located in Indonesian Borneo and is the place to visit for those seeking immersion in untouched nature, remote villages and tribes and of course to view the elusive Orang Utan. Vast rivers cut through the pristine jungle, providing exceptional opportunities to observe wildlife on board local riverboats.
Lombok
A wildly beautiful island with crashing waterfalls and pristine beaches Lombok offers hill walks, hidden coves and sunsets to die for. Accessible by a boat launch or short flight from Bali, Lombok is an extremely rural island with far fewer inhabitants (and tourists) than Bali. It makes for a great combination with Bali or as a destination in its own right.
Riau & Anambas Islands
Beyond Bintan you’ll discover an archipelago of islands, all part of Indonesia and widely scattered in the South China Sea, private island retreats and castaway Robinson Crusoeesque islands beckon.
Sumba
The latest place to win over our hearts and minds is Sumba. Just over an hour’s flight from Bali, it is twice the size but home to only 650,000 inhabitants. Part of Nusa Tenggara Timor, its isolated location means that for centuries, little has changed, with the exception of one intimate all-inclusive resort. Nihi Sumba is the rustic-luxe gateway to the wildness of Sumba.
