Luxury Family Holidays in August

The South Pacific is at its best from June to September, therefore ideal for a family holiday in August. We love the family villas at Te Vakaroa Villas in Rarotonga in The Cooks. A short seaplane ride from Fiji’s capital Nadi brings you to Vomo Island in Northern Fiji’s Mamanucas where all the accommodation is family friendly and little ones even have their own Baby Butler! At the Four Seasons Bora Bora under 12s can fish, canoe and make friends with the turtles at the Kids’ Club while Teens can hang out on Chill Island with open air movies and beach volley ball on their own private beach during this family break.

August is also a great time to head to Tanzania on a safari family holiday. The lesser known of Africa’s safari destinations, Tanzania is home to the mighty Serengeti, Mt Kilimanjaro and the Great Migration.  Children aged eight and over will love the tented mobile safari camps on this summer holiday to remember. Southern Tanzania offers a much slower style of safari in the Selous Game Reserve, and is home to half Tanzania’s elephant population as well as lion, hippo, buffalo, zebra and giraffe.  At luxurious Azura Selous children can attend the educational Amaradillos Club  and learn how to use their senses and knowledge in the African wilderness. Imagine the Show and Tell they can do back at school. After your Tanzanian safari, The Residence Zanzibar with its Kids Club is the beach-perfect end to your summer family holiday.
