Sailing in Bali & Indonesia
Cruise around the world’s largest archipelago of Indonesia. 13,000 tropical islands provide a home to historic temples, beautiful hiking trails, dazzling snorkeling opportunities and the friendliest local people who will always give you a smile and more than likely will invite you over for dinner. Wake up and jump in crystal clear waters, search for turtles and, as the day draws to a close, watch some of the most glorious sunsets in the world. We have teamed up Dream Yacht Charter and now offer a sensational sailing itinerary around Indonesia. You can either charter your own boat or travel with a few like-minded couples on a more affordable ‘by the cabin’ shared catamaran charter.
Sailing in Bali & Indonesia
Step aboard the luxurious Eleuthera 60 catamaran where your hosts for the week will show you to your private cabin. Cabins are small but perfectly formed, all offering a double bed, ensuite shower room and air-conditioning. Set sail from Serangan and spend each night moored off a different glorious island, waking up to spectacular views each and every morning of your holiday.
Enjoy a delicious continental breakfast, 2 course light lunch and a 2 course dinner which are prepared each day by the crew on-board using local produce and authentic Indonesian flavours. Freshly caught fish, satay and fried rice will certainly be on the menu!
Water babies rejoice! The delights of the ocean await. Snorkelling equipment and sea kayaks are included on your yacht- look out for turtles, manta rays and countless species of colourful coral and fish. At anchorage you must jump off the yacht and explore each gem of the Indonesian archipelago. We would highly recommend exploring the lovely Gili Air with its boutique bars and restaurants and taking a fun scooter tour from Mushroom Bay. Go and meet the locals, they’re a delight! Snorkelling equipment, kayaks and paddle boards are carried by the yacht.
We can also arrange both crewed yacht charters (exclusive use of a yacht including a skipper and chef) and bareboat charters (suitable for experienced sailors).
8 Day / 7 Night Bali Dream Itinerary
Settle into your Standard or Superior cabin late afternoon, before setting sail from Serangan Harbour to Sanur Beach, where you’ll enjoy a sumptuous dinner and overnight at anchored at Sanur Beach.
Head over to nearby Nusa Lembongan, a small offshore island with plenty of nautical activities including snorkelling and of course relaxing on the beach. Enjoy dinner and lunch on board and moor up near the island for the night.
A slightly longer, six-hour sail today to the gorgeous Gili Islands - three tiny islands with white sand beaches, fringed with coconut trees and surrounded by turquoise waters. You’ll head to Gili Air which is the smallest, quietest and most welcoming island of the archipelago. Surrounded by coral reefs, the Gilis provide a colourful underwater world with turtles, manta rays, clown fish, and countless species of colourful fish. Gili Air was the first of the Gili islands to be settled by fishing families. Coconut plantations and fishing are still important for the local economy. The beaches here are the best of the Gili bunch! As well as the snorkelling sites they can be easily reached from the shores of the white sandy beaches. Moor here for the night.
Sail over to nearby Gili Meno for a wonderful snorkelling spot where you’ll see countless corals and fish. In the afternoon sail over to the larger island of Lombok, an enchanting island with stunning landscapes, huge bays, fine sandy beaches fringed with coconuts trees and tropical rainforest. Spend the night on board.
Sail down Lombok’s west coast via Poh for a snorkelling session. End the day on Gili Nanggu with a BBQ on the beach.
Sailing along Lombok’s south west coast, you’ll visit other islands for snorkelling. This coast boasts pristine, secluded beaches, tiny offshore islands in the turquoise blue water, pearl farms and old mosques. Then set sail towards Crystal Bay on Nusa Pedina. Here, time seems to stand still, you still see people living very traditional lives. Spend the afternoon in this small and quiet bay with its crystal-clear water. Overnight on board.
After breakfast, depart for Manta Point, a perfect spot for snorkelling with manta rays. Then set sail to Mushroom Bay, so called because of the shape of its corals, and renowned for its white and bright croissant-shaped sandy beach. There is an optional tour here – either by scooter or discover the mangroves by flatboat.
