Selinda Game Reserve

The Selinda Reserve is a 320,000 acre private wildlife sanctuary in northern Botswana. This area is where the famous Selinda Spillway, which links the Okavango Delta to the Linyanti and Kwando wetlands, lies. The area welcomes eco-friendly projects and is very serious about its conservation. It is shared by a maximum of 32 guests split between three camps – managed by a very experienced team of conservationists.

80% of this area was used for trophy hunting for many years but as with similar hunting zones, the hunting has been removed and taken over by photographic safaris. A big attraction are the wild dog sightings, which are very hard to come across anywhere in Africa. On top of that, the area is full of cheetahs, elephants, zebras, lions, hyenas, jackals and leopards. The list can go on and on, but what does deserve a mention is the birdlife, as there are over 300 different species of bird here!

Unspoilt, complete, and utterly fantastic, the Selinda Spillway is one of Botswana’s unspoilt gems!
