Thalasso, – as you will remember I was umming and ahhing about Thalasso vs. 4 Seasons…you said Thalasso offered more modern bungalow interior etc. – well they were amazing.  We were blown away by our bungalow. Didn’t want to leave at all.  The only downside was that the coral and snorkelling around the Thalasso is fairly non-existent so you don’t get to see many fish etc through the glass coffee table.  The upside of this however is that the sea bed is sandy so the colours of the water are beautiful azure blues – really amazing. 

Having the breakfast package was a very good idea.  But glad we didn’t have other meal package because – and this is a little gem you didn’t mention – because Intercon have the Moana resort on mainland of BB they offer regular free shuttle between the 2 which means you can easily get the boat across to main island and be picked up by free shuttle to any of the restaurants.  Most other resorts, the 4S included charge a fortune to get boat taxi to main island.  The Thalasso concierge are superb and will fix up any bookings etc. as well.  Some great restaurants on BB too – The Yacht Club, La Matira were very good.

Legends, Moorea – wow we were seriously impressed with the villa here.  Amazing.  The view from up there was incredible too.  We thought it might be a problem being perched up there etc. and therefore not being able to easily hop on to the beach etc., but the resort were very helpful in terms of giving us lifts to their boat that takes you out to their small private beach on a little motu out in the lagoon.  The resort were really helpful in general and helped us book restaurants and suggest activities etc.  I would recommend Legends to anyone visiting Moorea.  Their new restaurant Villa Des Sens was amazing.  The best meal we had all holiday.  Incredible French chef, lovely ambiance, brilliant bar attached and by comparison (and necessary to say that because everywhere is unbelievably pricey!!) its keenly priced.  We hired a little boat one day as well which was fantastic and enabled us to take a picnic and visit several spots on the lagoon – Stingray World – sounds glitzy, but in effect is nothing more than a spot in the lagoon where the coral shelf drops away into deep water and has become a common feeding area for stingrays and black tip reef sharks – I was in the water with dozens of each.  Amazing. 

There are some good restaurants nearby worth trying. Its good to make people aware that some restaurants will do a free pick up taxi service – trust me when taxis want to charge you 50 quid one way to do a 20 minute journey then this is a very good tip.  We didn’t get stung I’m happy to report.  We found Lonely Planet to be very helpful for most places in Tahiti – this little gem came from there!

The resort was absolutely stunning, the food excellent and we could not imagine a better honeymoon destination. The villas were pure luxury and the staff so helpful.

Denis Island was stunning with excellent food, accommodation and service that was second to none.

Lemuria suprised us with many treats which made our stay extra special, like running a bath and lighting candles in the bathroom when we returned from dinner, a suprise honeymoon meal - the list could go on!

The accommodation was amazing. There was nothing the staff would not do. The hotel never appeared busy andd there was always a member of staff to hand should we require anything. Our room was a delight and the food exceptional.
