Somewhat surprised to be receiving this now as it is more than 6 months since my Turquoise holiday!

That said, cruising on the Aranui to the remote Marquesas was a great experience and I wouldn't have missed it for the world. The Marquesas were everything I hoped for and the Aranui was terrific. I can only hope that the new boat is as good at balancing comfort with informality and that the increased passenger numbers won't swamp the islands nor reduce the personal touch from the staff and crew.

My only small reservation about the trip was that I was not informed that the transfer to the Intercontinental Moorea was so long and would involve stopping off to drop off other travellers at hotels en route which made it take even longer. As I only stayed there for 2 nights this was not ideal. Nevertheless all the accommodation and transfer arrangements worked seamlessly so it's a minor gripe.  read less

Great holiday, all went to plan and we really enjoyed it.Lyndsey did a great job with our booking, very helpful,listened to what we asked for and then provided it for us quickly and accurately.

A special thank you is due for Lyndsey who practically saved our honeymoon when our flights were cancelled at the last minute, by re-routing us via Nairobi and re-arranging our hotels to suit the new arrival time. All while we were at the airport! An absolute star!  read less

We booked our honeymoon through Turquoise Holidays and that was the most stress-free part of the whole wedding-planning experience! They were so helpful and patient with us. We even set up a wedding gift list through Turquoise so our wedding guests could buy us treats and trips on our honeymoon. Thailand was amazing. We particularily loved The ZaZen in Koh Samui, for its more personal touches and Rasananda in Koh Phangan for its beautiful rooms and beach! I would recommend Turquoise to anyone planning a holiday of a lifetime - they were brilliant! x  read less

I don't think I'd appreciated quite how tiny the islands were going to be but it was so nice to be completely isolated and we are glad we went during the quieter season as it felt like we had the place to our selves.

We are so glad we picked the Maldives for our honeymoon - an amazing place, the people are wonderful and the sea is breath taking - I did my Padi out there on impulse having never tried anything like it before and will never forget the experience of diving with sharks, turtles and 1000s of tropical fish. A really gorgeous location and a stunning view as you fly in over the atolls.

The hotels both upgraded us to the next level of room which was fantastic and we were made to feel so welcome. The first island (Cocoa Island) was perfect to do first because it was much more sedate and quieter, so a great way to unwind from all the highs of the wedding day. It was just like a picture postcard of paradise and the staff on the island really made us feel special. They all knew the guests names and the whole experience was unforgettable. They would give you fresh towels and water on the beach and every need was catered for. We were asked to fill our guest survey and we couldn't find anything to say other than it was all perfect and there was nothing we hadn't enjoyed. The manager sent us a nice email on our return too.

Baros was a nice change after a week of doing very little but relaxing, and we had lots of activities planned there which made the week go very quickly. There was a lot more choice for food as there are 3 restaurants and more bars. We had been so spoilt at Cocoa I think we have judged Baros from a position of very un-realistic expectations, we still had a wonderful time, but Cocoa has completely stolen our hearts as the most amazing place we've ever been.

The honeymoon gift list was a great idea and we were lucky to have a lot of guests who bought us experiences and meal contributions during our trip. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone. Thanks for all your help and advice with our plans - it was perfect!

Our recommendations would be take factor 30 sun tan lotion (we are both fairly olive skinned and would never normally go above factor 15 but we burned on the first day in minutes!) and pack light as you don't need that many smart clothes because its all so laid back.

We'll definitely come back to you when we plan another big holiday.
