The Six Senses resort, Koh Samui was pure Thai luxury and the staff were absolutely amazing, we would recommend it to anyone! Sorry for not writing back sooner. Its been a hectic start to the year- it certainly feels that way anyway and certainly exacerbated by the honeymoon! Married life is great (not sure there's much change) and the honeymoon was incredible. Thank you so so much for your recommendation.

The hotel itself was lovely: very clean, friendly staff, good service in the bar/restaurants and a good overall setup. It was very quiet (even though they said they were at full capacity). Any hotel that can remain as calm and quiet whilst full is amazing! I must say that it was maybe too quiet in the evenings- Lou and I often found ourselves last in the bar at about 10.30pm...and we're not big drinkers etc etc so that was strange! It suited us though!

The villa was perfect. So far from reality. We were lucky that we had a villa near the end of the jetty which faced out to the ocean (nothing but sea for a view!). I was impressed with the set up- if you wanted room service it didn't take very long for anything to arrive. The staff were very attentive.

Overall we had an amazing time. I wouldn't hesitate to go back. Might have to save some pennies first though!

I hope the feedback helps- you really did us proud on the holiday. It was everything we could have wanted from our honeymoon so thank you.

Thank you so much for booking our incredible honeymoon to Australia. Everything was perfectly organised and every trip we went on so memorable.

All the hotels were incredible and we loved Port Douglas Cottage and being able to BBQ and relax in our own space. The highlight was Qualia where every moment was perfect and it took bribery to get me to actually leave the hotel.

We loved our trip so much and the experience with Turquoise and all of Tracie’s help that we are already planning our next trip; this time visiting New Zealand and Australia.

We had an amazing time in Tahiti, it really is just like all the pictures. It has been extremely hard getting back into the groove of normal life but we are currently planning our wedding so it hasn't been too bad. Our holiday went extremely well, I don't think we had any problems at all. We missed our first transfer to the pier so Tahiti Nui Travel took an extra trip for us to get us there. The only real problem we had was that we booked our flight from Papetee to Bora Bora on Sunday afternoon and as there are only ferry rides from Moorea to Papetee early in the morning we had to wait a bit at the airport and then our flight was delayed for 5 hours which obviously couldn't be helped so we ended up spending a full day at the airport but as I said that had nothing to do with what you had organised.

Tahiti Nui Travel were always there for our transfers and all the vouchers were well organised. At first I was a little worried booking through a travel agent from overseas but I had nothing to worry about because it all went so smoothly. The St Regis is a special resort and is certainly held in high regard amongst other travellers and tour operators.

Thanks for organising such a wonderful holiday, it was good to arrive in Tahiti and not have to worry about anything. Hopefully we will be in contact to organise our anniversary holiday back there :)

Dear Petra.

It's been a pleasure to be able to organise our Honeymoon with you. We couldn't have had better service, or better results!. We thought you were extremely helpful, very knowledgeable and happy to assist with any queries.

Everything went as organised. The hotels were amazing, and Bora Bora it's just out of this world!! Perfect location for a Honeymoon.

Our first stop was the Intercontinental Resort (Tahiti) for an overnight stay. Very convenient as it is so close to the airport (about 10-15 minutes drive). We arrive quite late so we didn’t get to see the hotel until the following morning. We went for a basic room, as it was just for the one night. It was nice and clean and very cosy. We had a plate of fresh fruit and coconut waiting for us, which I thought it was quite a nice touch.

Breakfast was very nice. Plenty of French pastries, cure meats and cheese, but mainly local dishes (maybe because there were a high number of local guests, like on their family vacation). There was also a nice band playing traditional music. Such a happy atmosphere.

The flight to Bora Bora was very picturesque. It takes about an hour all in all, as it stops in Moorea to drop/pick up more people. We advice to sit on the left hand side of the plane as it has the best views!

The boat trip to the Hilton was incredible. You just can’t believe a place like that exists. On the way there you get to see parts of this magnificent island and some of the other hotels. It’s just out of this world!.

On arrival, you hear the sounds of drums and a conch-shell, together with some singing from the hotel employees. They do this every time someone arrives/leaves.

Check in was very pleasant. They welcome you with a nice cold juice and an even colder refreshing towel that smells of Monoi oil. We were lucky as our room was ready pretty much as soon as we got there, which was great. The over water bungalow they gave us wasn’t that great because it had very shallow water with lots of coral, so you couldn’t really swim off directly from there. We managed to swap the following day and we got OWB109. I think it’s one of the best, together with OWB108. Water is deep enough for you to jump off, it’s very private and has incredible views.
Breakfast was served by the Bar next to the swimming pool (Tamure Grill). It was very nice. It had good variety, so we didn’t find we were eating the same things during our stay. The only thing is that if you want omelettes or eggs, etc, you have to pay a supplement, which I thought it should have been included, considering the price you pay to stay there. Lunch’s menu has less options, but still so yummy. We recommend the Cheese burger with fries and the Caesar Salad. One of the best I have ever tried.
Bottled Water is rather expensive at the restaurants, so we recommend you pop to the shop first and then take it with you, as it’s almost half the price.
There are a couple of restaurants where you can have dinner, but once we tried the Iriatai Restaurant, we didn’t want to go anywhere else (it’s a mix of Polynesian & Mediterranean cuisine). The Risottos are exquisite! It has so many choices and the dessert selection is impressive.
The beach is rather quiet so you can find a nice spot without having to worry about not being able to find a sun lounger if you don’t go there early.
Once a week they do a show at the Tamure Grill restaurant, which you have to pay a charge supplement for (it’s mandatory as you can’t have dinner anywhere else). It’s a buffet dinner but it has so many options. From pizza to sushi to grilled seafood and fish/meat. Just delicious. And the show was one of the best one we saw in the Island.
All in all, an amazing stay! Loved the hotel and everyone who works there. So helpful and friendly. I would definitely come back!
After 4 days at the Hilton, we then moved to the Pearl Beach Resort, as we wanted to experience a different view/side of the Lagoon. This hotel is also great. It’s got a more Polynesian feel to it (it’s not as luxurious as the Hilton, but still really really nice and the views are definitely better here).
We had a Beach Suite and It’s huge! It’s got an outdoor bathroom, with a Jacuzzi and sun loungers (on a wooden decking). Then you have the sleeping area, with a big bed, TV and desk, and, through some French doors you have the sitting area, with great sofas to chill out and a nice table and chairs to have your breakfast or a coffee if you wish. The windows slide open and you have the most amazing view of the beach, the Over Water Bungalows and the Mount Otemanu! It’s all made by wood so it’s got a very romantic and cosy feel to it. OWB don’t look as nice as the Hilton’s and are much smaller.
Breakfast is just as good as the one at the Hilton, but it has more “free” stuff. You can have made to order omelettes/eggs/pancakes at no extra cost (you pay for these at the Hilton). Plus the usual stuff: French pastries, fruits, yogurts, etc..
Lunch was pretty similar. The burgers were delicious! (yep, I spent most of the whole week eating burgers and fries for lunch!) Pizzas are also a good choice.
On the first night, we went for dinner to the Italian restaurant (you need to book if you wish to dine there as there are very few tables). And we just kept going back for the rest of our stay! Once a week, they also do a show with a seafood buffet (every Friday). Not as many options to choose from, but food was nice.
As for activities, both have kayaks, stand up paddling, pedal boats (all for free), and you can arrange for ski jets and things like that. Snorkelling gear is free.
After reviewing all the tours available, we decided to go on two of them.
The Love Tour: It is with a professional photographer, and he takes you around the island on a speed boat, taking pictures of you (as a couple) at the best spots. He also explains the origins of Bora Bora and some of its history. Very interesting. He takes a bottle of champagne and opens up a coconut so you can use both halves as a glass. The views from the boat are incredible. By the end of it, he drops you at the Matira Beach, where you can relax for a bit and have a swim (the water there is so turquoise, calm and warm that you just don’t want to leave!), while he prepares the CD for you with over 200 pictures. Nice memories to bring back.
Shark & Stingray feed: Again you get picked up at your hotel by boat. The trip is divided in 4 steps: snorkeling at the coral reef, swim and feed the stingrays, swim with lemon and black tip reef sharks, and finally a picnic at a private motu. They also film you while you snorkel and swim with the sharks so you have the option to buy it. it’s about £70, which is a bit pricey, but it’s great to see it afterwards. Very good filmed and great quality.
I just hope we are lucky enough to get back to this paradise one day!

Just want to thank Karen at Turquoise holidays for the massive help in booking our honeymoon. We had such a memorable time in Mauritius - it was beyond our expectations, from when we arrived at the hotel to the time we had to sadly leave. The hotel staff made us feel truly special and with the gorgeous room looking out onto the sea it was like we were in our own little world. The restaurants had some of the most amazing food that we have had and allowed us to try new types of food and the way it was cooked. We would certainly recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a holiday to Mauritius.  read less
