An exciting overnight journey to the remote hill station of Sapa

Visitors to Sapa need not sacrifice comfort on their journey to this remote destination. The Victoria Express train allows travellers to arrive in Sapa refreshed after their overnight train journey.

Victoria Hotels have added their own high quality carriages to the Reunification Express train, which travels the overnight route between Hanoi and Lao Cai (and vice versa). Departing Hanoi at 10pm six times a week, the train also returns overnight, leaving Lao Cai at 9pm, in time for an early morning arrival into Hanoi.

Passengers can relax in their sleeper compartment. There are 8 compartments in the carriage, 4 of these are a Superior Cabins which have four berths and 2 are Deluxe cabins which have only two berths. All are decorated in a simple but elegant colonial style, with wood panelling, fresh white linen and individual reading lights. For your comfort, all carriages are air-conditioned with shared Western style toilets without showers. The train is only available to guests of the Victoria Hotel.

Whilst on board, travellers may wish to eat in the dining carriage, 'Le Tonkin' (not available on every departure), which serves Vietnamese and French cuisine, washed down with fine wines.
