Days 1 - 2 Hanoi On arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel before beginning your exploration of Hanoi by visiting the Temple of Literature, Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum (closed on selected dates), Ho Chi Minh's house and the One Pillar Pagoda, followed by a walking tour of the bustling Old Quarter. Day 3 - 4 Halong Bay Today, transfer to Halong Bay where you will board a traditional junk, with its evocative orange sails, and set off into this breathtaking bay, filled with thousands of limestone islets and caves. Swim off the side of the boat and feast on delicious seafood as you take in the stunning scenery. Moor for the night and wake up to see the sun rise over the spectacular horizon. Return to Hanoi this afternoon. 1 night - Halong Jasmine & 1 night - Sofitel Legend Metropole Day 5 Hue Take a short flight down to the old imperial capital of Hue and spend the afternoon exploring this historical city. Begin with a boat ride on the Perfume River to visit Thien Mu Pagoda, the symbol of Hue, before exploring the impressive Imperial Citadel. Arriving in Hoi An, a short walking tour will reveal the best of the old town. Otherwise, simply wander, get lost and enjoy exploring this maze of atmospheric streets. Don’t forget to sample some of Hoi An’s signature dishes or one of the many excellent quality tailors which proliferate in this charming town. Day 9 - 10 Saigon Take an early morning flight down to Ho Chi Minh City, still referred to by her colonial era name of Saigon. Spend the afternoon exploring Dong Khoi and the nearby boutiques, cafés and restaurants. Explore Saigon’s sights including the War Remnants Museum, busy Chinatown, Notre Dame Cathedral and the Reunification Palace. 1 night - Park Hyatt Day 11 Mekong Delta Heading two hours south of Saigon by car, to the riverside town of Cai Be you will board a sampan and be transferred along the river to the Bassac boat. As lunch is served your journey through the fascinating Mekong Delta will begin. In the afternoon take the opportunity to go ashore and explore a local village before returning to the boat for the night. Arise early in he morning and board a traditional wooden boat at dawn to see the wonderful floating market at Cai Rang. Return to Saigon by road. 1 night - Bassac cruise Days 12 - 14 Beach Relaxation End your exploration of Vietnam with a relaxing stay on one of her many beautiful beaches.
