Koh Samet

Koh Samet is the nearest island to Bangkok and makes for a convenient escape from the big city because it is just a short drive and boat ride away. Although this makes the island busy on weekends with the locals as well as tourists there are one or two small boutique options such as the lovely Paradee Resort which make for a great stay on Koh Samet. It has a striking southern coastline with powder white sandy beaches, a pristine natural environment and a reputation for glorious sunsets!
