With its unique concept and cutting edge design, the Library is surely one of Thailand’s most stylish and most interesting resorts. Taking its inspiration from holiday reading, the main concept behind the resort is that of a book. Thus the lobby has been renamed Contents and each of the 26 rooms is referred to as a Page. Rooms are divided into 13 white cubist duplex buildings. Suites are on the ground floor and feature floor to ceiling wooden shutters which rotate to let in the ocean breezes or close for privacy. In front of each suite, there is an outdoor area for sunbathing and reading. Upstairs rooms are light, bright Studios and come complete with a balcony. Both room categories feature a master bedroom area on a raised platform and include large plasma screen TVs. There is a separate living area which includes a white iMac computer complete with unlimited broadband connection for guest use. The bathrooms feature rain showers and dramatic white bathtubs. The Suite rooms include Jacuzzi bathtubs. Rooms are characterised by a futuristic and minimalist Thai design. Plinth beds, bold edges and the odd splash of colour set off dramatic black fittings and bright white floors. Highlights are the resort’s breathtaking bright red swimming pool and the adjacent pure white Library itself. A chic grey restaurant and bar completes the colour panel.
