Located on the quiet beach at Pranburi, just South of Hua Hin, the Aleenta was the first of Thailand's two Aleenta properties and is an individual, unique and truly boutique hideaway. The emphasis here is on relaxation and getting away from it all. The rooms do not have televisions (although all include yoga mats and iPods) and the resort is located on a secluded stretch of coastline. There are several categories of rooms, all slightly different and the property is ideal for those who shun the luxury and facilities of a larger resort in search of something more personal and more intimate. As soon as you enter the lobby, the feeling is more relaxed and homely than that of a traditional resort. With a unique fusion of Mediterranean and ethnic Asian design, rooms are a delight to behold. Some even have an unconventional circular shape but only two of the rooms have a bathtub. Fifteen rooms are located in the main part of the resort and five more rooms are located in the Frangipani wing, 500m along the beach. The Oceanview Suites and Penthouse rooms boast the best views. Pool Suites are round in shape and both these and the Palm Pool Suites have their own private plunge pool. Rooms in the Frangipani wing have direct pool access. Naturally, the spa offers a range of holistic treatments and the excellent kitchen can offer Thai cookery tuition. The main resort does not accept children but the Frangipani wing can cater for families.
