Being so close to the equator, temperatures in Tanzania are fairly constant throughout the year, although the rainy season in April and May is best avoided. The hottest months are January to March when the animals are attracted to the waterholes (and the young are being born in the Serengeti). June to October brings the dry clear weather whilst November and December (hotter months again) generally bring the short rains, although you can still enjoy good game viewing.
Typhoid, Polio, Tetanus, Hepatitis A are recommended. Please consult your GP at least 4 – 6 weeks prior to travel for current advice. Also seek advice from your doctor regarding anti-malaria medication.
