Ngorongoro, Serengeti & Zanzibar
10 night journey - Ngorongoro Highlands - Serengeti - Zanzibar

Ngorongoro, Serengeti & Zanzibar

The annual migration of 1.5 million wildebeest across the Serengeti is undoubtedly one of the most enthralling game viewing spectacles on earth! If your wish is to try to witness this great natural wonder, then we highly recommend staying ‘under canvas’ in one of the Serengeti’s traditional mobile camps which move seasonally to keep up with the herds. One such expeditionary mobile camp is Nomad Tanzania’s Serengeti Safari Camp – the first mobile camp of its kind, specifically set up to offer a ‘migration-chasing’ adventure with your own private vehicle and guide to take you out into the midst of the action. This pioneering camp changes location every couple of months (but not during your actual stay) in an effort to ensure that you are as close as possible to the movement of the wildebeest migration. This is a million miles from camping as most people know it! But before heading to the Serengeti, enjoy 2 nights at Plantation Lodge in the Ngorongoro Highlands – the ideal base for exploring both Lake Manyara and the world renowned Ngorongoro Crater – and a great place to break your journey enroute to the Serengeti.

Why Turquoise loves...
Zanzibar
“Zanzibar is a beautiful destination and perfect for a post-safari chill-out. From the bustling city of Stone Town to the beautiful beaches around the island, Zanzibar is an amazing place to spend some time. I loved the hotels and after an incredible few days on safari, it really was the ideal place to relax and enjoy the tranquillity.” Ben Batty, Zanzibar travel specialist
