The 14 beach bungalows, which face the lagoon and feature charming outdoor bathrooms, are cooled by ceiling fans – whilst the premium beach bungalows enjoy a more private beach location and have the added advantage of air-conditioning as well as a ceiling fan.

The 24 overwater bungalows and suites (which are cooled with a ceiling fan) all feature a glass bottom coffee table, enabling you to view the lagoon’s underwater life without getting wet! The premium overwater bungalows benefit from direct access to the translucent lagoon below and also have a CD player. Most romantic of all – the overwater suites –Tikehau’s premium accommodation category – not only offer direct access to the lagoon, but also boast a spacious 93 square metres in which to relax, plus air-conditioning as well as a ceiling fan.

You will enjoy fine Polynesian and European cuisine with magnificent lagoon views in the Porehu Restaurant and exotic cocktails in the resort’s Tianoa Bar, which nestles between the white sand beach, the lagoon and the freshwater swimming pool. The resort also has a dive centre and a small spa with two massage tables.

Tikehau is considered one of the most beautiful atolls in all of Polynesia. Picture-perfect, it is graced with an oval crown of pink sand beaches and an azure lagoon teeming with colourful marine life. Manta rays, barracuda and tuna fish can all be seen in the magnificent Tuheiava Pass (just a short boat ride from the resort) and many bird colonies have sought refuge on Tikehau’s scattered motus. The charming flower-filled village of Tuherahera on Tikehau’s largest motu is well worth a visit – you can hire a bicycle and go exploring.

Tikehau is a 55 minute flight from Tahiti and the boat transfer from the airport takes 25 minutes.
