Set enchantingly between two white sandy beaches at Matira Point on the southern tip of the main island of Bora Bora, the intimate InterContinental Le Moana Resort Bora Bora boasts 14 beach bungalows and 50 overwater bungalows set gracefully on stilts over the lagoon. A jewel of traditional Polynesian architecture, this boutique romantic resort combines the skill of the best Polynesian artisans with the finest of local materials.

All the bungalows enjoy the stylish and spacious lay-out of a junior suite. Each has a large private sun terrace with an outdoor shower, a living room, bedroom, dressing area decorated with vanilla plants and beautiful bathroom with separate shower and bath.

The overwater bungalows have a stairway leading directly into the lagoon and a glass bottom coffee table which looks into the clear turquoise waters of the natural aquarium below. Those furthest out in the lagoon (the Horizon Overwater Bungalows), only have the ocean and the reef as a horizon whilst the Lagoon Overwater Bungalows face the beach and Bora Bora's dramatic mountains.

Couples travelling together may prefer the ‘Heremoana’ beach suite (two beach bungalows linked by a lounge) or the ‘Poe Va’i’ overwater suite (two overwater bungalows linked by a lounge).

Lazy days can be spent relaxing around the freshwater sandy bottom swimming pool – but if you feel like being active, numerous options are available including snorkelling, windsurfing, kayaking, 4WD safaris, shark feeding excursions, sunset cruises and catamaran sailing. Romantic picnics to secluded motus (islets) in the lagoon can also be arranged. Le Moana guests have use of the wonderful Thalasso Spa at it's sister property – and complimentary transfers are provided.

Tahitian musicians play every day at the resort’s Noa Noa Restaurant and Vini Vini Bar – and on several evenings a week, a traditional Polynesian dance show is performed.

Unique in Bora Bora, breakfast and dinner are included in your stay – a 'rare bonus' which undoubtedly makes Le Moana one of the best value hotels on this legendary island! Bora Bora’s world famous ‘Bloody Mary’s’ Restaurant – a popular spot with yachtsmen and sailors navigating the Polynesian waters – is only a short drive away – and well worth a visit for lunch.

Access to the resort from Bora Bora airport is via a magical 30 minute boat transfer across the lagoon's crystal waters.
