Your ‘tented boudoir’ (one of 40) is a secluded, luxurious air-conditioned suite with its own private swimming pool. At 75 square metres each - the suites are generously proportioned - and sumptuously adorned with handcrafted furniture and locally-sourced Bedouin artefacts. The floor-to-ceiling windows offer breathtaking views across the vast desert terrain, towards the distant Hajar Mountains.

With a ratio of three staff to every suite, an exceptionally high level of personalised service is integral to the Al Maha experience - the objective being to ensure that your every need is attended with discretion, courtesy and care - 24 hours a day. Meals are a gourmet affair - a unique fusion of Arabian and Mediterranean flavours.

Located 45 minutes from Dubai city, Al Maha is an eco-tourism success story. The Dubai Desert Conservation Reserve in which it is situated, started out as a small area of protected desert open to guests - today, the reserve provides refuge for endangered species unique to the region. Arabian oryx roam throughout the property and numerous exotic birds can also be seen.

Desert activities include falconry, camel riding, archery, horse-riding and guided dune safaris - and after a day’s exploring, relax and unwind in the superb Jamilah Spa. There’s also a main swimming pool and even a gymnasium.
