South African Airways and British Airways have daily flights to Johannesburg and Cape Town. Fares start at £660 including all taxes and surcharges: however both airlines do have special offers available throughout the year so it it worth checking with one of our Sales Consultants.

A small intimate coastal retreat perched on top of the rugged De Kelders Cliffs, Whalesong Lodge boasts ‘whale watching from the comfort of your bed’. A mere 2 hours’ drive from Cape Town, in the vicinity of Gansbaai - a fishing village famous for its Great White sharks, coastal cliffs and deserted beaches - Whalesong takes prime position in an untouched corner of the Cape. Boasting views of the coastline - from the white sand dunes of 'Die Plaat', past Hermanus, all the way to Cape Point - Whalesong is all about aweinspiring vistas and wide open spaces.

A romantic hideaway, accommodation comprises 5 stylish rooms and a private balcony where you can enjoy the fresh sea air and whale songs, if you're lucky! The honeymoon suite, complete with a jacuzzi bath overlooking the bay, is truly idyllic - order a bottle of chilled South African Champagne and watch the sun set over the ocean!

Your hosts, Stanley & Lainy Carpenter, have a passion for traditional South African cuisine and they invite you to indulge in their love for fresh local produce, home-made 'comfort-food' and fine wine (having previously owned a small hotel in the Winelands, they have a well-stocked wine cellar, which they generously share with guests). Fresh fish, supplied by the fishing trawlers in Gansbaai, is served in the dining room which leads out onto a wooden deck with a plunge pool. If you have a special love for cooking, you are urged to devour the view while assisting with the food preparation - although wine is poured just often enough to warrant doing nothing but sitting back lazily! During the cooler months, a cosy fireplace and a good selection of South African red wines cater for snug winter evenings.

Whale watching, leisurely walks, lazy naps on the beach and swimming in the sheltered coves are only a few of the activities to be enjoyed from this undiscovered gem.
