Praslin

The second largest island, Praslin, is home to the wondrous Vallée de Mai (UNESCO World Heritage Site) – where the legendary coco-de-mer grows on ancient palm trees. The island has truly amazing beaches such as Anse Lazio, Anse Georgette and Anse Kerlan – where turtles can lay their eggs in tranquility.   

Praslin provides an excellent base for excursions to neighbouring islands – the delightful La Digue is only a short boat journey away. La Digue is an island where time stands still, ox-carts ad bicycles are a superb way of getting around the island and friendly locals create an intimate atmosphere you will never forget.
