A fabulous day's sailing and swimming with dolphins in the Bay of Islands
Enjoy a leisurely day in the Bay of Islands aboard the 50ft spacious sailing catamaran, ‘Carino NZ’ –the only yacht in New Zealand licensed to swim with dolphins. A fabulous day’s sailing for both experienced and inexperienced sailors, the crew will also help you understand and appreciate the magic of the wild dolphins – and at the dolphins’ invitation, there will be an opportunity to join them for a swim. The day includes a stopover on an island with time for swimming, snorkelling and nature walks –followed by a barbecue lunch. Carino NZ's owner, Vanessa, has spent much of her life sailng and competing in yacht races. She was a member of 'Team New Zealand's' shore crew when they won the America's Cup in 1995. Throughout the summer months (Nov - Mar), Carino also offers an early evening sunset sail, which departs around 5pm, and returns by 7pm.
