Departing from Paihia in the Bay of Islands, this unique half day trip is a fabulous way to experience New Zealand’s Far North. The day begins with a 45 minute scenic fixed-wing flight to Cape Reinga over Northland’s spectacular harbours and beautiful beaches, including the famous Ninety Mile Beach. Once at Cape Reinga, transfer to a comfortable mini-coach for a 21/2 hour tour around the top of New Zealand. Visit Cape Reinga lighthouse and stop at Tapotupotu Bay for a stroll and morning or afternoon tea before heading to the giant sand dunes at Te Paki Quicksand Streams for some optional ‘sand surfing’! Witness some of New Zealand’s most spectacular coastal scenery on the one hour flight back to the Bay of Islands including Parengarenga Harbour and Great Exhibition Bay, which are only visible by air or sea.
