Gloriously nestled within the private nature sanctuary of Anahita on the east coast of Mauritius, this is the most recent gem to grace the Mauritian shores. Cocooned in the south corner of the sanctuary, Four Seasons at Anahita is a stylish, contemporary all-villa resort which spans not only its stunning mainland setting, but also incorporates its own 11 acre private island, where the resort’s Lagoon Pool Villas and Presidential Suite are located. The Mangrove Pool Villas, Garden Pool Villas and the Residences are on the mainland. There are 123 Villas and Residences in total (the Villas are open-plan with one bedroom, whilst the Residences have a choice of 2 and 3 bedrooms). Spectacular water features throughout create a calming and peaceful ambience. All accommodation categories embrace outdoor living and all boast a private landscaped terrace with plunge pool, an open-air bathroom with a fabulous deep soaking tub and a refreshing outdoor garden shower! Natural dark wood and volcanic stones create a sophisticated feel and all villas enjoy stunning panoramic views of the lagoon, natural mangrove formation or the landscaped gardens. Hi-tech comforts have not been overlooked – and plasma TV’s, DVD players, iPod docking stations and wireless internet connectivity are key features in each Villa and Residence. There are four beautiful swimming pools, as well as a fitness centre and two tennis courts. Those looking for pure pampering can retreat to the overwater Spa, where ocean breezes and gentle waves lull guests into a sense of peaceful relaxation whilst they enjoy regionally inspired treatments. Children are very welcome - and the two and three bedroom Residences, with their extensive living space, are obviously perfect for families. Younger guests (4 - 12 year olds) can take advantage of the resort’s complimentary ‘Kids for All Seasons’ programme whilst teenagers can enjoy the latest interactive games at the Karokan Teen Club. There are four restaurants to choose from, and the sophisticated O-Bar. The open-air Italian restaurant Acquapazza, located across the lagoon on Ile aux Chats, is open for lunch and dinner whilst the elegant French inspired Beau Champ serves breakfast and dinner and boasts an extensive wine cellar. For casual lunches, the poolside Pan-Asian and Mauritian eatery, Bambou, is a ‘must’! For a world-class culinary discovery, head to the neighbouring Anahita The Resort’s two Michelin star restaurant! Designed by Ernie Els, Four Seasons Mauritius Golf Club at Anahita offers an 18-hole championship golf course which undoubtedly ensures one of the best golfing experiences in Mauritius and offers complimentary green fees.
