Consistently ranked as the finest collection of glamorous villas on the East Africa coast, Alfajiri never ceases to surpass the expectations of even the most discerning travellers. Owned and hosted by Fabrizio Molinaro and his wife Marika, this exquisite coastal haven comprises three stunning exclusive-use villas which, individually or collectively, provide an idyllic and relaxing refuge for families or a group of friends seeking a refined and totally private beachside escape. The original Cliff Villa is a striking 4 bedroom beach house perched on a cliff overlooking a beautiful stretch of Diani beach. Floor-to-ceiling glass walls, ivory Danish floors, Lamu doors and African and Eastern artefacts set the tone for gracious elegance. The front of the house – dominated by a large verandah with hand-carved sofas – looks out on to the infinity-edge swimming pool. Furnished with the same exclusivity as the Cliff Villa, the Beach and Garden Villas share a bar, a pool and a spacious open sided living area under a Makuti thatch roof. The Beach Villa comprises two en-suite bedrooms plus two additional rooms perfectly suited to children (the Beach Villa bedrooms are not air-conditioned) whilst the Garden Villa sleeps eight guests in four individually styled en-suite rooms – each with a view of the ocean. Discreet service is provided by the team of 25 experienced staff – and fresh seafood is bought daily to order from the beach, whilst the salad and vegetables come from the local farms. Activities include deep-sea fishing, sailing, reef excursions and golf – and two nannies are also available 24 hours.
