Day 1 - Matangi Private Island Resort

Arrive in Fiji and connect with your short internal flight to Fiji’s unspoiled north, where your destination is the island of Taveuni. The scenic 4WD transfer from Taveuni airport to the boat landing – and the speedboat journey across the turquoise water to Matangi Private Island – mark the beginning of your Fijian adventure!

Your island accommodation for the next 7 nights will be a unique Tree House, set high in the treetops with breathtaking views of the stunning surrounding scenery – the perfect introduction to this remote region of Fiji. (L,D)

Days 2 - 7 - Matangi Private Island Resort

Matangi’s relaxed South Pacific lifestyle will ensure you quickly settle into ‘Fiji time’. Spend your days snorkelling, diving, kayaking, visiting a local Fijian village, hiking, or simply lying on the coconut palm-fringed beach. (B,L,D)

Days 8 - 10 - Tui Tai Adventure Cruise

Time to sadly leave Matangi today as the second leg of your authentic Fijian journey awaits. Return to Taveuni by speedboat to board the magnificent 140 foot schooner, A/S Tui Tai, for the start of your unique ‘off-the-beaten-track’ sailing adventure. The next 3 nights will be spent cruising the crystal clear waters between Taveuni, Vanua Levu and the more remote islands of Kioa and Koro on a voyage of discovery through this little known pristine region of Fiji.

The activities available are endless – from mountain biking, diving and snorkelling to exploring remote bays by kayak or trekking to beautiful cascading waterfalls. Total flexibility is all part of the Tui Tai experience – you can do as much or as little as you please – and the crew will gladly cater, where possible, to your individual interests. (B,L,D)

Days 11 - 15 - Moody's Namena

Return to Savusavu at 9am, where Moody's will be waiting to meet you for the 11/2 hour boat transfer to their beautiful desert island – a truly unique and relaxing finale to your Fijian adventure! Moody’s Namena is a romantic nature-based island retreat which sits on the remote and tiny 1 mile long island of Namenalala (15 miles off Vanua Levu’s south east coast). It is a secluded unspoiled sanctuary nestled within the Namena Barrier Reef with a turquoise lagoon which provides refuge for a myriad of colourful fish, gliding seabirds and turtles who lay their eggs on the perfect white sand beach. Many of Moody’s guests return year after year – for the peace, serenity, lazy days in a hammock and magnificent snorkelling and diving.

Your accommodation for the next 5 nights will be provided in one of just six rustic hexagonal-shaped bures which lie discreetly hidden amongst the towering native trees on a ridgetop. Each bure has a wrap-around verandah with spectacular views of the reef and the rainforest. (B,L,D)

Day 16

Enjoy your last relaxing morning at Moody’s before boarding your launch to Savusavu, where you will connect with an internal flight back to Nadi. Your driver will transfer you to nearby First Landing Resort where a villa will be made available for your use until your evening transfer back to the airport to check-in for your international flight. We recommend you enjoy dinner under the stars at First Landing’s beach restaurant – where the friendly ambience is matched by superb food! (B)

Alternative option - Nukubati

Alternatively, substitute Moody’s Namena for Nukubati. On day 11, following Tui Tai's arrival in Savusavu, you will join a private 4WD transfer through the lush interior of Vanua Levu to the remote north coast – where a short boat transfer will take you to the unspoiled paradise of Nukubati! Another wonderful little-known hideaway, yours will be one of only 7 bures which nestle on the beachfront of this tiny island retreat, where the warmth of the people, the fabulous food and beautiful surrounding scenery will ensure a memorable end to your unique Fijian holiday! On day 16, you will be transferred by boat and 4WD to Labasa, where you will connect with an internal flight back to Nadi.
