A 26 mile alpine trek between the Hollyford and Dart Valleys at the base of the Southern Alps
The stunning Routeburn Track passes through the World Heritage listed Fiordland and Mount Aspiring National Parks on a 26 mile alpine trek between the Hollyford and Dart Valleys at the base of the Southern Alps. It has consistently proved to be one of the most accessible and popular journeys into New Zealand’s forests and mountains. The variety of landscapes is astounding – from mountainous peaks and alpine basins to pristine lakes, cascading waterfalls and luxuriant forest. The Track is open from November to April and is available as a 3 day guided walk experience from Queenstown. Lodge accommodation on the Track is provided in bunk-style rooms (with 4 - 6 people sharing). Departure Details: Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. Pre-Walk Briefing: 2pm in Queenstown the day prior to departure.
