Days 1 - 3 - Great Barrier Island

Arrive in Auckland where you will be met and transferred to the domestic terminal to connect with your 30 minute light aircraft flight to Great Barrier Island – one of the North Island’s best kept wilderness secrets. Spend the next 3 nights at Earthsong Lodge. (B,D)

Days 4 - 6 - Motueka

Return to Auckland and board your scheduled flight to Nelson. On arrival, collect a hire car and make your way to Edenhouse, perfectly located in a picturesque valley between Nelson and the Abel Tasman National Park. (B,D)

Day 7 - Hokitika

To the wild and rugged West Coast today! Stop at the famous Pancake Rocks before continuing south to Kapitea Ridge, a stylish coastal retreat located mid-way between Greymouth and Hokitika. (B)

Days 8 & 9 - Fox Glacier

Continue to Fox Glacier, where Misty Peaks provides your homely base for 2 nights. A guided glacier walk or heli-hike is a ‘must’, as is a stroll around beautiful Lake Matheson. (B)

Days 10 & 11 - Lake Moeraki

A short drive further south takes you to Lake Moeraki – your destination for the next 2 nights. Few places on earth can match this unique natural setting amidst untouched rainforest, pristine lakes, rivers and spectacular beaches. (B,D)

Days 12 - 14 - Wanaka

Onward to Wanaka today for 3 nights at Riverrun, which is serenely set on 420 acres of rolling countryside overlooking the surrounding mountains. We highly recommend a breathtaking helicopter flight over this beautiful alpine region of New Zealand (see page 45). (B)

Days 15 - 17 - Queenstown

Head to Queenstown today and end your New Zealand wilderness adventure 'on a high' with a 3 night stay at Azur, in a luxurious villa with breathtaking views overthe lake and mountains.(B)

Day 18

Drop your hire car at Queenstown airport and board your flight to Auckland and on to the UK. (B)
