The only resort on a small island, the Racha is a true tropical paradise. With unbelievably turquoise water and pristine white sand beaches, the Racha’s setting on a picture perfect bay is exquisite. Leaving the crowds of Phuket behind, take a 45 minute long transfer by speedboat and escape to Koh Racha. Immediately, the resort’s understated white modern design will strike you. Rooms are white, airy and spacious yet characterised by an Asian feel which remains contemporary as well as stylish. Facilities here are also excellent – there are two swimming pools and a beautiful spa, as well as a fitness room, tennis courts and yoga room. Choose between the stylish main restaurant, the poolside Fire Grill restaurant and the relaxed Sunset Beach Restaurant before sampling a digestif at the cool Ice Bar. For those who require a special experience, in-villa dining can be organised, as can dinners for two on the Star deck and the resort can even arrange for guests to enjoy their own seafood barbecue in their villa. Activities include snorkelling, kayaking and the resort even has its own dive centre. Guests can also choose from Thai cooking lessons, batik-making, fishing or quad biking trips, mountain biking or private yacht charters. Whilst the main beach in front of the resort is often visited by day trippers from Phuket during high season, there are two other beach areas available for guests of the resort and all beaches are deserted by late afternoon, ensuring plenty of romantic sunset moments.
