Tucked away in the Tuki Tuki Hills, overlooking its own vineyard and the Hawke’s Bay coast, Millar Road offers seriously stylish accommodation in the form of two contemporary, self-contained cottages. Each cottage boasts two kingsize bedrooms and caters for one or two couples. Each bedroom has its own ensuite – and a separate bathroom in each cottage contains a luxurious cradle bath. Designed by award-winning architect Nick Bevin, the cottages are reminiscent of New Zealand river and lakeside baches of the 1950’s and 60’s. All furniture is New Zealand designed and built – and the cottages showcase Hawke’s Bay designer Esther Diamond’s range of cushions and bed linen, screen-printed with original designs by leading New Zealand artists. The cottages are also equipped with Sky television, a DVD player and stereo. The designer kitchen will inspire you to create your own gourmet feast utilising the region's fresh local produce, with the assistance of a selection of recipe ideas provided by the Head Chef of the Craggy Range ‘Terrôir’ restaurant and other local ‘foodies’. We can also arrange for your cottage to be stocked with your personal choice of provisions prior to your arrival. Alternatively, explore the local wineries, restaurants and farmers’ markets which this region is so renowned for – your hosts, Ginny and Jeremy Collinge, will gladly provide you with maps and directions. However, if you simply feel like relaxing, ‘in-cottage’ dining can easily be arranged – accompanied by a fine local wine from the extensive wine cellar. There is also a swimming pool (which the two cottages share) and a pool bar – perfect for cooling off in the summer months!
