With Kaikoura’s snow-capped mountains as a backdrop and views towards the Pacific Ocean, this historic 100 year old homestead – which once formed part of the largest station in the Kaikoura district –has proved a wonderful find! Today, the property is a small sheep and cattle farm (owner Helen is a former shepherdess), and the beautifully restored homestead offers four charming guest rooms – three of which have a private verandah. A separate self-contained two-bedroom cottage will open in October 2007.
