Superbly poised between the foothills of the Plaine Champagne and the dreamy Indian Ocean in the southwest corner of Mauritius, Le Telfair Golf & Spa Resort sits on the site of the former sugar estate of Bel Ombre - one of Mauritius’ finest estates with a history that dates back over 200 years.

A beautiful lagoon, lush tropical gardens, an immaculate beach and the gentle flow of the Citronniers River combine to give a rare taste of paradise. Inspired by a colonial French sugar plantation, Le Telfair relives the peace, space and harmony of a more leisurely bygone age. Each of the 158 rooms features highly polished wooden floors, ceiling fans and generously proportioned 19th century-style bathrooms. Soft, warm hues of light green, cream, beige and cappuccino further exude an air of calm and relaxation - and for the ultimate indulgence, the deluxe rooms and suites have wide four-poster beds enhanced by translucent linen drapery. Housed in twenty villas of six or eight rooms each, Le Telfair’s exquisite accommodation is dotted amidst the tropical gardens, with wonderful French windows which spill out onto verandahs with awe-inspiring views.

The resort offers a diverse selection of dining options, including the charming Gin'ja which serves fresh seafood overlooking the ocean - and the 19th century elegantly restored Château de Bel Ombre.

Le Telfair’s facilities include an 18-hole championship golf course, watersports, a Six Senses Spa, Kids Club (2 - 11 years) and the Bel Ombre Nature Reserve which can be explored on horseback, quad bike or by mountain bike.
