A classic journey through Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia...
Days 1 - 4 Luang Prabang and Vientiane On arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Over the next two days, you will be able to explore Luang Prabang’s temples and museums and take a boat trip out to the Pak Ou caves, filled with Buddhas. Fly to Vientiane, where you will visit That Luang stupa, as well as the bustling morning market of Talaat Sao. 3 nights - Maison Souvannaphoum and 1 night - Settha Palace Days 5 - 7 Hanoi and Halong Bay Fly from Vientiane to Hanoi, where you will spend two nights in the busy Vietnamese capital. Visit Ho Chi Minh’s mausoleum, the Temple of Literature and explore the Old Quarter. Travel to Halong Bay for an overnight cruise. 2 nights - Sofitel Legend Metropole and 1 night - Halong Jasmine Days 8 - 9 Hue Watch the sunrise over Halong Bay before breakfast. Then cruise back to the dock and return to Hanoi airport. Fly from Hanoi to Hue where you will visit the impressive Imperial Citadel and take a boat along the Perfume River to the seven tiered Thien Mu Pagoda. Hoi An is a colourful former trading port dating from the sixteenth century. Pay a visit to one of the many tailors for some made-to-measure clothes, or shop for antiques in the heart of the old town. See old Chinese temples, wooden merchant houses and the Japanese covered bridge, all of which give Hoi An its unique and charming character. Have dinner in one of Saigon’s fashionable spots and enjoy a rooftop cocktail in this lively city. 1 night - Park Hyatt Days 14 Mekong Delta to Siem Reap Leaving Saigon this morning, drive towards the Mekong Delta town of Can Tho. En route board a boat and visit some of the islands in this region. Rise early the following morning for a sunrise breakfast cruise and floating market visit. Returning to Saigon in the afternoon and fly directly to Siem Reap in Cambodia. 1 night - Victoria Can Tho Days 15 - 17 The Temples of Angkor Today you will begin your exploration of the majestic Angkor complex. Must-see temples include Ta Prohm, Banteay Srei and The Bayon, and of course Angkor Wat itself.
