Meaning ‘illusion of mountain’, the Kirimaya resort is a haven of contemporary style as well as relaxation, located just next to the stunningly beautiful Khao Yai National Park.

Kirimaya boasts four fabulous Tented Villas, each one very spacious and featuring cream canvas sliding panels, natural fabrics and a tented roof. Each tent includes satellite plasma television, DVD/CD player, wi-fi and air conditioning, ensuring that no luxury is spared.

Perhaps the highlight of each tent is the central sunken Jacuzzi pool. Made of cream stone with chic wooden surroundings and chrome fixtures, the pool is set into the floor at the centre of the tent. Guests can luxuriate here, soaking up wonderful views of the surrounding countryside.

Guests staying in the tents can choose between in-room breakfasts or dining at the resort’s chic terrace restaurant. There are also 30 Plantation View rooms and 22 Horizon View rooms for those who prefer a more conventional hotel stay. There are three main food outlets – Acala features a contemporary Thai style and is open on three sides, whilst the Mist is located atop the Acala and serves complimentary afternoon tea. There is also T-Grill, located at the Golf Clubhouse.

The resort is actually renowned for its world class golf facilities. For those who prefer their relaxation away from the green, the Maya spa is superb.

PRICES Prices start from £53 per person per night in a Plantation View room or £194 per person per night in a Tented Villa, based on two people sharing, including breakfast. Upgrade to Premium Economy on EVA Air from as little as an additional £175 per person per way on the London-Bangkok sectors.
