The Aleenta in Phang Nga has recently opened and is a sister property to the popular Aleenta in Pranburi. With ultra-modern design, the Phang Nga property is perhaps sleeker than her Pranburi counterpart and is a truly chic option. Located on the mainland at Phang Nga, the Aleenta is around a half an hour drive North from Phuket airport in an area which is yet to become as highly developed as Phuket itself. There are a few other resorts nearby but this is mainly a relatively secluded location. The resort itself is both intimate and stylish, featuring clean and modern lines and airy interiors which are beautifully lit. Pool Suites and Pool Villas each have private pools whilst the Ocean View Lofts are breathtaking mezzanine rooms with direct access to a shared infinity pool. Rooms are all luxurious but with a definite zen ambience –there are no televisions in the bedrooms for example. All rooms feature Aleenta’s hallmark ‘Outside Living-In’ concept where exterior walls are made of glass and can be folded back to let in plenty of natural light and sea breezes. The resort also features an excellent spa, a Thai restaurant and a fashionable beach bar. They can also organise a romantic in-villa meal for two or a private barbecue on the beach. The main restaurant sometimes diversifies with special nights such as tapas, Thai cookery classes or cocktail evenings where guests can learn to become mixologists.
