Perhaps lesser known than some of it’s South Pacific neighbours, those honeymooning in Samoa will be rewarded with pristine and unspoiled scenery, a rich history and culture, friendly and welcoming people, and a wonderfully unhurried pace of life! Samoa is made up of two main islands, Upolu and Savai’i, and a sprinkling of smaller islands – and we highly recommend splitting your time between the two main islands.

Home to the capital, Apia, and the international airport, the island of Upolu is where most visitors will spend the majority of their time. It is also home to magnificent beaches (both white and black sand), secluded coves fringed with palm trees and beautiful turquoise waters, jagged mountains, towering waterfalls and pristine waterholes that provide the perfect spot for a refreshing dip! Upolu is also where you will find the country''s most luxurious accommodation - the boutique and stylish Sinalei Reef Resort & Spa which enjoys an idyllic setting on the island’s south coast - and is the perfect choice for a honeymoon to Samoa!

It is well worth spending some of your honeymoon on the lesser known island of Savai’I, just a one hour ferry ride from Upolu. Visitors to this less developed island will discover dramatic lava fields, rainforests and some of Samoa’s best beaches. Accommodation in Savai’I is more simple than on Upolu, but is charming and perfectly comfortable.

May to October is the dry season and therefore the perfect time of year for a honeymoon in Samoa. Other months bring higher humidity and some tropical showers, but temperatures are warm year round.
