As the weather turns and the days get colder in the UK, things are hotting up elsewhere. This is a lovely time to head to Australia - the weather is getting warmer in the south of the country yet it is not too humid in the north, plus it isn't too busy and prices are generally lower than in high season.
October marks the end of summer in Indonesia, but Bali is still a lovely place to honeymoon, as are North Vietnam and Malaysia. It’s also the end of the rainy season in Malaysia, but again, it’s still a great time to visit as showers tend to be short and restricted to a quick burst in the afternoon or evening. May – October are the best times to visit the East Coast, so think about organizing a honeymoon combining the hustle and bustle of Kuala Lumpur with the calm tranquillity of a luxurious beach resort.
If beaches are your priority, then Mauritius and the Seychelles are highly recommended. The Seychelles in particular are great in October as the winds are low and the seas calm, making it a good time to go diving or snorkelling. And you could also think about Zanzibar or Mozambique. It’s the cooler, dry season in Mozambique, so while you won’t get scorchingly hot days, you’ll still find sunshine and idyllic beaches. There’s a range of beautiful islands and lovely resorts to choose from in Mozambique, all lapped by the warm waters of the Indian Ocean and all offering an enticing mix of Arabic-meets-African culture and laid-back living.
