A unique opportunity to sail on grand prix racing yachts usually the domain of professional yachties and billionaires, passengers on board these two original America's Cup racing yachts are encouraged to join the crew and take the helm. But if you'd prefer, you are just as welcome to sit back, relax and enjoy the action and harbour views – this is undoubtedly one of the best introductions to the ‘City of Sails’! The two yachts are suitable for everyone (10 years and above) - from experienced racers to apprehensive first-time sailors. The skipper and crew are keen racing yachties - and will ensure you get the most from your two hour sail. You will meet the crew down at the Viaduct Harbour, and after a short safety briefing, will head out on to the waters of the harbour. For those with a competitive streak, match racing aboard the yachts is also an option. The 3 hour 'match race' experience begins with the two yachts lined up under international match racing pre-start conditions (just like in the America's Cup) -before setting off to compete head to head. As a passenger, you will be involved in the racing, calling tactics - and even protesting the offending yacht! The experience includes a free entry in to the Voyager Maritime Museum.
