There are 22 luxury one-bedroom suites with spa baths – but for that extra indulgence, we highly recommend one of the four free-standing one-bedroom cottages which have private outdoor hot-tubs! There are also two villas which each offer two bedrooms, a private barbecue area, an outdoor hot-tub and laundry facilities – the perfect option for friends or families travelling together. The suites, cottages and villas all benefit from Sky television, CD and DVD players and fully-equipped kitchens.

Breakfast is served in The Pavilion, which is also a popular place to unwind with a good book or relax by the fireplace and chat to other guests. In addition, there is an outdoor swimming pool and a tennis court. The Martinborough region is a winelover’s paradise – and hosts Mike and Lois will happily point you in the direction of some of the region’s best vineyards and restaurants. The local wineries are relatively small and typically familyowned. The only ‘wine village’ in New Zealand, Martinborough offers old world charm, a real community spirit (despite the local rivalry amongst winemakers) – and a lively café and restaurant scene which is renowned for drawing Wellingtonians out of their city at weekends!
