This delightfully relaxed and stylish retreat nestles amidst some of New Zealand’s most stunning scenery in the heart of the Marlborough Sounds. Catering for a maximum of 34 guests at any time, the spacious one, two and three bedroom apartments are set on a hillside and boast uninterrupted views of the surrounding blue waters and native bushclad hills. Built to maximise privacy and bring the outdoors in, each apartment has its own private deck which flows from the living and bedroom areas – and bi-fold windows in the bedroom(s) which take full advantage of the magical setting! A real emphasis has been placed on using materials such as cedar and copper to blend with the natural surroundings – and each apartment also has a fully equipped kitchen with laundry facilities. Access is via a 30 minute boat transfer from Picton. The resort is perfectly positioned for being able to enjoy one or more sections of the acclaimed Queen Charlotte Track (with or without a guide) – and kayaks can also be provided for guests’ use (guides can be arranged for kayaking too). We also recommend a day's cruising with Pete and Takutai (see page 47 for details) – who will gladly meet you in Picton and drop you at Bay of Many Coves or vice-versa. Other facilities include a fresh-water swimming pool and the Manuka Day Spa. The onsite restaurant and café both enjoy wonderful panoramic views and specialise in fresh local produce such as green shell mussels and succulent salmon – accompanied, of course, by fine Marlborough wines!
