Only three minutes walk from Nelson’s vibrant town centre, this colourful cottage provides a relaxing stay from which to explore the region’s delights. Originally built circa 1890, Manuka Cottage has been restored to provide accommodation in the heart of Nelson. This historic self-contained cottage still retains the native totara and kauri flooring and offers a king-size bedroom and private bathroom featuring a claw-foot bath downstairs. Up the steep spiral staircase is a loft with queen and single beds, ideal for older children. A separate living area includes a wood burner and opens to a sundeck and bricked courtyard bordered by a small private cottage garden with a gas BBQ, perfect for alfresco dining. A full kitchen enables guests to self-cater, with shops and restaurants just a short walk away. A continental breakfast basket is provided for you for the first morning. Nelson is a ‘foodie’s paradise’ where local seafood is a speciality. Down at the waterfront, the award-winning ‘Boatshed’ café is famous for its fresh mussels and crayfish, whilst ‘The Cut’ restaurant (which takes its name from the man-made entrance to Nelson’s Harbour) showcases Nelson’s superb fresh produce in an early 1900’s period house.
