Experience the wilderness of Malaysia's rainforest
For those wishing to experience some of Malaysia’s famed ecotourism, a two night trip to Taman Negara National Park has much to offer. A pristine tract of virgin rainforest covering more than four thousand square kilometres, accommodation here is basic but the experiences are well worthwhile for nature lovers. Travel by road from KL and then take a boat journey into the park, along the Tembeling River, passing through rubber plantations and Malay villages. Activities include a guided night walk in the jungle as well as a canopy walkway, enabling you to get a bird’s eye view of the jungle. Do some trekking and take a boat ride to the beautiful cascading waterfalls, where you can swim in the cool clear pools. Return to KL on your third day, feeling as if you have really experienced the jungle.
